"Kurzweil PC3/K 2.21.19459
Release notes
- MIDI state debugger enabled in MASTER - UTILS. This utility shows the internal state of the MIDI CCs and pitch bend in any channel at a particular time.
Typical use: "My channel X does not make any sound". Is it MIDI 7 (Volume), is it MIDI 11 (Expression) or is it something else?. Well, you go to MASTER - UTILS - STATE and check for MIDI 7 and 11 in that channel and see if they are 0s or not. That might give you a clue of why (not how) that channel is silent. Other typical example, "My channel X is pitched up". Is it MIDI15, MIDI21, Pitch Bend or a mod source linked to pitch? Well, you can check all those things in the MIDI STATE.
We had it for a while as a debugger tool... now it's enabled so that you can play with it.
Bug fixes:
- PC3K: Sample load space detection bug fixed (Introduced in 2.20). It was reporting less free sample memory than there was available therefore some samples couldn't be loaded even if there was space for them.
- Exp buttons now working fine in all circumstances with or without KORE 64 installed and with old or new Master Table being loaded.
- Input channel bugs. Non mapped message in zones != 1 and Multiple zones assigned to the same MIDI channel go now thru the input channel if selected.
- MIDI - Channels page, Program Changes go up to GM now.
- PC3K: Memory Defrag Utility working properly again. Still, pretty slow if you have a ton of samples. Depending on the number of samples and the size of them it could be faster to store everything on a file, hard reset the PC3K and then load the file again.
- Sample Display: Better draw with zoom = 1. No more constellation of points.
- Sample Display: new zoom level 1/0.125 for better display of individual samples. This works better than zoom = 1.
- Sample Display: Smoother scrolling.
- Sample Display: When changing roots, proper cursor selection.
- MASTER - PREVIEW: Showing 5 samples in the list now for better context information and showing an * in user samples.
- Sample Display: Zero crossing buttons working more precise now, specially the Zero-, that before could give you not the previous sample to a zero crossing but one, two or even three samples before that one"
