- The acoustic and electric piano sounds are outstanding.
- RX Noise adds a new level of realism to them.
- It’s a joy to play.
Cons
- You need to hook it up to a computer to get the best from it.
- No splits, layers or multitimbrality.
- The non-piano sounds somewhat confuse its identity, in my opinion.
Summary
The SV1 provides the best emulations of acoustic pianos, electro-mechanical pianos and electronic pianos that I have yet heard on a single instrument.
It also offers a range of additional sounds such as organs and strings, but it’s hard to decide whether these are a bonus or a distraction.
If you’re in the market for a stage piano, you mustn’t buy anything until you have tried this.
